Virtual Gathering of Prayer on National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In Ashtabula County the week of May 7th will see many opportunities for communal prayer hosted by great organizations. During this time, the more we are able to lift up our concerns, the more we can come together as a community. On Thursday, May 7th at 6pm I will be hosting several Ashtabula County pastors and faith leaders on the steps of the County Courthouse to pray for our County and Country. Faith leaders will be announced shortly. You are welcomed to join us in communal prayer virtually from your home: -On Youtube Live: Keyword David Thomas, Ashtabula County Auditor Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCldjLSjB5UY_yMPUoasmpQ) -On Facebook Live: David Thomas, Ashtabula County Auditor Page (www.facebook.com/friendsofdavidthomas)
